Helping international patients and overseas Chinese communities access trusted medical expertise across Greater China.
ChinaMedConnect was founded to help international patients and overseas Chinese communities navigate China’s rapidly advancing healthcare system with greater confidence, transparency, and accessibility.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between global patients and leading medical institutions across Greater China by providing guidance, coordination, and personalized support throughout the medical journey.
We focus on practical patient navigation: identifying appropriate hospitals and specialists, helping patients understand treatment pathways, supporting communication, and coordinating access to trusted medical resources.
Dr. Steve Wang brings a cross-disciplinary background in medicine, healthcare systems, and international patient navigation. He received his MD degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, School of Medicine in China, later got his MPH degree from the University of San Francisco, and completed his PhD training at City of Hope, National Medical Center.
With academic and professional experience spanning both China and the United States, Dr. Wang has developed a deep understanding of the differences between healthcare systems, patient access challenges, and the practical barriers international patients face when seeking care abroad.
During his medical training in Shanghai, he worked at major hospitals including Ruijin Hospital and Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital. He continues to maintain professional relationships with physicians and healthcare professionals across Beijing, Shanghai, Sichuan, Xiamen, Taiwan, and other regions.
ChinaMedConnect is designed not merely as a hospital directory, but as a medical coordination and patient navigation platform. Our goal is to help patients access high-quality medical expertise at a more affordable cost than many Western healthcare systems can provide, while receiving practical support throughout the process.
